Vive la Reine

For once I'm actually uploading a very recent photo. It's for the Spring contest at .

The title means "long live the queen". I remember that when I was young I'd read the Anne of Green Gables books and Anne had named a tree the Snow Queen... So I'd pondered which one of the trees in my backyard would fit that name. (In fact, several of them do, having white blossoms in the springtime.)

The tree in this photo, however, is one that stands out to me more than the others...When I first moved into my house more than ten years ago, we planted that tree, and ever since it has grown so much. It's really tall and strong now, and always covered with beautiful white blossoms. And I hope she will be here for many springs to come, even when I myself am gone.
